World’s Second-Richest Man Warren Buffett Doesn’t Use An iPhone, Here’s Why
We must admit that these days, people are mad about Apple products. Especially iPhones are something that everyone desires for. iPhone is a symbol of class and luxury. However, buying an iPhone is kind of a trend among reach people.
The reason why we are talking about iPhone is because recently the 2nd richest man in the world, Warren Buffet said that he is not at all interested in using an iPhone. You will be shocked to know that he does not own an iPhone though he holds shares in the Cupertino-based Apple Inc.
If we leave behind iPhone, Warren Buffet didn’t use any high-end smartphone either. He still chooses to sticks to his old flip phone. Warren Buffett told CNN in an interview way back in 2013 “I don’t throw anything away until I’ve had it 20 or 25 years”.
In the era, where people switch phones every few months, Warren Buffet chooses to use his phone for a good number of years since he had the habit of completely utilize them. While giving the interview, Warren Buffett showed his Nokia flip phone and said: “This is the one Alexander Graham Bell gave me”.
Let me tell you, this habit isn’t just restricted to his phones only. He almost does the same with all his things. Warren Buffet still stays in a 3 bedroom house that he purchased almost 60 years ago for $31,500. If you are interested in stocks, Warren Buffet believes that one should buy stocks if they are willing to keep them for at least 10 years “Don’t buy a stock if you are not willing to keep it for 10 years”
Warren Buffet prefers living a simplistic lifestyle and he gives less attention to worldly things, which is indeed a great attitude.
